Rox Motor is a relatively unknown Chinese EV brand established in January 2021.

It launched its first model, the Rox 01, on August 22, 2023. The SUV (sport utility vehicle) is an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV).

Since its founding, Rox Motor has focused primarily on overseas markets, expanding its footprint to over 40 countries and regions in less than two years -- a strategy differing from other Chinese EV makers.

On December 28, the company launched the Rox Adamas as the successor to the Rox 01, with a starting price of RMB 334,900 ($47,930) after discounts.

Adamas -- Greek for "unconquerable" -- embodies Rox Motor's ambitious vision for the EREV, which has already launched in the Middle East.

Measuring 5,050 mm in length, the Rox Adamas accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.

The SUV comes standard with a 44.5-kWh ternary lithium battery from CATL (HKG: 3750, SHE: 300750), delivering a CLTC battery range of 215 kilometers.

With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, its CLTC combined range reaches 1,405 kilometers.

Rox Motor launched the Rox Adamas as the successor to its first model Rox 01, aiming to double global sales to 30,000 units in 2026.
