Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI, HKG: 2015) has reached its 1.5 millionth vehicle delivery, marking a significant milestone for the company.
The automaker announced this milestone today on its social media channels, 14 months after delivering its one-millionth vehicle in October 2024.
This indicates that it has delivered 4,031 vehicles so far this month, considering cumulative deliveries reached 1,495,969 units by the end of November.
Founded in July 2015, Li Auto is one of China's leading extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) manufacturers.
Its inaugural EREV model, the Li One, was launched in October 2018 and began deliveries in December 2019. The SUV (sport utility vehicle) has since been discontinued, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 210,000 units.
Li Auto's primary models over the past two years have been the L-series EREVs -- the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9 -- all SUVs.
Li Auto's EREVs have delivered over 1.4 million units cumulatively, with a total driving distance of 54.5 billion kilometers. Of this, 19.5 billion kilometers were fuel-powered, while 35 billion kilometers were pure electric, according to data released today.
On March 1, 2024, the company launched the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), its first battery electric vehicle (BEV), marking its official entry into the BEV segment.
Li Auto launched the Li i8 on July 29, its second BEV model and first pure-electric SUV.
On September 26, the company launched the Li i6, its third BEV model and second pure-electric SUV.
The automaker has experienced weak sales performance this year, with declining competitiveness of its L-series models and sluggish BEV deliveries.
Li Auto delivered 33,181 vehicles in November, marking a 31.92 percent year-on-year decline and the sixth consecutive month of year-on-year contraction.
From January to November, Li Auto delivered 362,097 vehicles, representing an 18.08 percent year-on-year decrease.
The company expects the Li i6's monthly production capacity to reach 20,000 units early next year, Li Auto said on December 1.
