The surge in deliveries of the third-generation ES8 SUV (sport utility vehicle) helped Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO, HKG: 9866) maintain relatively strong delivery performance last month.
The all-new ES8 delivered 10,677 units in November, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker announced today on Weibo.
This marks the highest monthly delivery record for the ES8 -- Nio's first mass-produced model -- since deliveries began in June 2018, representing a 59.29 percent increase from October's 6,703 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
ES8 deliveries contributed 29.43 percent of Nio Inc's total 36,275 units delivered in November -- its highest share since October 2020. The SUV accounted for 58.05 percent of Nio brand deliveries of 18,393 units last month.

Nio officially launched the third-generation ES8 at Nio Day 2025 on September 20, with deliveries commencing the following day on September 21.
On November 29, Nio announced that deliveries of the third-generation ES8 had reached 20,000 units, making it the fastest pure-electric model priced above RMB 400,000 ($56,540) to surpass this milestone in the Chinese market.
Nio reiterated this milestone today, declaring the golden age of large three-row pure-electric SUVs has arrived.
The ES8 ranks among Nio's highest-priced models, with the third-generation starting at RMB 406,800 including the battery pack.
Nio management said during an earnings call on November 25 that the ES8 targets 40,000 deliveries this year, with the majority expected in the fourth quarter.
To meet the ES8 delivery target, Nio will need to deliver about 20,000 third-generation ES8 units in December.
Nio management expected fourth-quarter vehicle margin to rise to around 18 percent, up from 14.7 percent in the third quarter, with the ES8's gross margin projected to exceed 20 percent.
