Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) continued to see further significant declines in deliveries of its L-series extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), while its newly launched i-series pure electric SUVs (sport utility vehicles) began to gain momentum.
The company's current lineup includes L-series EREVs -- Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, Li L9, the Li Mega electric MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), and the Li i6 and Li i8 electric SUVs.
These models collectively delivered 31,767 units in October, down 38.25 percent year-on-year, marking the fifth consecutive month of year-on-year decline.
The Li L6 delivered 9,680 units in October, remaining Li Auto's best-selling model, according to data compiled by CnEVPost from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
Monthly deliveries of the SUV fell 62.50 percent year-on-year, marking the fifth consecutive month of decline, and decreased 21.46 percent compared to September.
The Li L6, Li Auto's most affordable model with a starting price of RMB 249,800 ($35,070), contributed 30.47 percent of Li Auto's October deliveries.
From January to October, the Li L6 delivered 144,406 units, accounting for 43.90 percent of Li Auto's cumulative deliveries of 328,916 during the same period.
The Li L7 delivered 4,347 units in October, down 63.29 percent year-on-year and down 27.62 percent month-on-month. The model contributed 13.68 percent of Li Auto's October deliveries.
From January to October, the Li L7 delivered 69,345 units, down 36.84 percent year-on-year, accounting for 21.08 percent of Li Auto's deliveries during this period.
The Li L8 delivered 2,183 units in October, down 66.26 percent year-on-year and down 10.39 percent month-on-month. The model contributed 6.87 percent to Li Auto's monthly deliveries.
From January to October, the Li L8 delivered 38,114 units, down 39.18 percent year-on-year, accounting for 11.59 percent of Li Auto's deliveries during this period.
The Li L9 delivered 2,130 units in October, down 67.20 percent year-on-year and down 43.75 percent month-on-month. The model contributed 6.71 percent to Li Auto's monthly deliveries.
From January to October, the Li L9 delivered 40,274 units, down 44.03 percent year-on-year, accounting for 12.24 percent of Li Auto's deliveries during this period.
The Li Mega delivered 1,903 units in October, accounting for 5.99 percent of Li Auto's monthly deliveries. This represents a 130.95 percent year-on-year increase but a 41.93 percent decrease compared to September.
From January to October, the Li Mega delivered 16,922 units, contributing 5.14 percent to Li Auto's cumulative deliveries during this period.
The Li i8, Li Auto's first pure-electric SUV model, delivered 5,749 units in October, a 0.58 percent increase from September's 5,716 units.
Li Auto launched the Li i8 on July 29, with deliveries commencing on August 20.
The Li i6, which was launched on September 26, delivered 5,775 units in October.
The company aims for stable monthly deliveries of 6,000 units for the Li i8 and 9,000-10,000 units for the Li i6 by year-end.
