Nevo, a sub-brand of Changan Automobile (SHE: 000625), has previewed its new sedan model, the C390, which has generated a lot of buzz with its elegant exterior design.
Nevo shared nine images of the C390 on Weibo today, as well as a video showing details of the sedan's exterior.
The model is one of the few under the Changan umbrella that is attractive in terms of exterior design. In China's highly competitive electric vehicle (EV) market, good looks have become crucial to the success of new models.
In the comments section of Nevo's Weibo post, some readers commented that the sedan could be one of the most beautiful family cars of 2025.
Nevo is a new brand launched by Changan in August 2023, and Changan said at the time that the brand's product matrix would include the A-series, Q-series, and E0-series.
Nevo's current models on sale include the A05, A07, Q05, Q07, E07, and K50, covering the sedan, SUV (sport utility vehicle), and pickup markets.
Nevo didn't mention anything more about its new sedan, but according to a report in local media Yiche today, the C390 may just be an internal codename.
The model is the first sedan under Changan's SDA platform, and the mid-to-large-size sedan boasts a wheelbase of nearly 3 meters, according to Yiche.
The C390 is designed by Changan's global design chief Klaus Zyciora, according to Yiche.
Zyciora was Volkswagen Group vice president and global head of design and now serves as Changan's vice president.
The C390 will be built on an 800-volt high-voltage electrical platform that will have better energy efficiency performance as well as charging speeds, Yiche's report noted.
In another report on May 8, Yiche said the Nevo C390 is expected to be launched in the second half of this year.
