Nio announced its Power Up Counties program on August 20, 2024, with the goal of having its battery swap station network cover more than 1,200 counties in 14 provincial administrative regions by June 30, 2025.

It provided 2,949,969 battery swap services in China in January, a daily average of 95,160, up from 77,268 in November last year. Nio's December Nio Power operations report makes no mention of average daily service numbers.

The higher daily average in January may be partly due to the Chinese New Year holiday -- January 28 to February 4 -- which brought a travel rush.

Nio's single-day battery swap service exceeded 100,000 on January 23 and remained above that mark in the following multiple days.

On an average, each Nio user used the battery swap service around six times in January. Compared to charging, the service saves one user 5 hours and 42 minutes per month, Nio said.

A total of 44,323 Nio users enjoyed their first battery swap service in January, according to the report.

Nio added 49 battery swap stations available to Onvo last week, bringing the number of stations available to the sub-brand to 1,291, according to data released by Onvo on February 3.

Yesterday, Onvo said that for the first time, its users used the battery swap service more than 8,000 times in a single day.

On January 25, Onvo announced that its users surpassed 5,000 battery swap services in a single day.

To date, Nio Inc has delivered a cumulative total of 685,427 vehicles, including 658,754 under Nio's main brand and 26,673 for Onvo, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Onvo launched its first model, the L60 SUV (sport utility vehicle), on September 19, 2024, with deliveries beginning on September 28.
