Arcfox, the electric vehicle (EV) unit of Beijing Automotive Group (BAIC Group), has plugged into Nio's (NYSE: NIO) charging network, becoming the 16th brand to do so.

Nio Power, Nio's power unit, and Arcfox today entered into a partnership for charging services, according to an announcement posted on the Nio App.

Nio Power's charging network was opened up to Arcfox to provide its users with a charging service that has wide coverage, efficient inquiries and is easy to use, the announcement said.

Nio is the Chinese carmaker with the most charging facilities, and its charging network has always been open to other brands of EVs, but these kinds of partnerships help provide a better charging experience.

Previously, 15 brands including Xiaomi EV, Chery, Dongfeng M-Hero, HIMA, FAW Hongqi, and GAC Energy have announced access to Nio's charging network.

To date, Nio has 2,623 supercharging stations in China offering 12,157 charging piles and 1,683 destination charging stations offering 13,115 charging piles, according to its charging map.

The company's signature battery swap stations now number 3,035, with 952 of them located along highways.

Arcfox is one of the first new car-making forces in China, though its sales performance has been lukewarm.

The brand sold 81,017 units in the full year 2024, up 169.91 percent year-on-year, according to figures it announced earlier this month.
