Dongfeng Motor's new energy vehicle (NEV) brand eπ has officially launched its first model, marking another of its NEV brands to hit the market after Voyah, M Hero, and Nammi.
eπ officially launched the eπ 007 sedan at yesterday's event, which is available in both extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) versions.
The eπ 007 is a mid-size sedan with a length, width and height of 4,880 mm, 1,895 mm and 1,460 mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2,915 mm, with a wind resistance of 0.209 Cd.
The eπ 007 is available in four versions with starting prices of RMB 159,600 ($22,190), RMB 166,600, RMB 179,600 and RMB 199,600 respectively.
The lowest-priced version is an EREV model, while the other three are BEVs, all of which are powered by lithium iron phosphate battery packs.
The powertrain of the eπ 007 EREV has a maximum power of 160 kW and a maximum torque of 310 Nm, and accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 7.2 seconds.
The model comes with a battery pack with a capacity of 28.39 kWh and uses a 1.5L engine. It has a CLTC range of 200 kilometers on battery power and a combined range of 1,200 kilometers on full fuel and full charge.
The two lower-priced variants of the eπ 007 BEV are powered by a single electric motor with maximum power of 160 kW and 200 kW and maximum torque of 310 Nm and 320 Nm respectively. They can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and 5.8 seconds, respectively.
These two versions are equipped with batteries with capacities of 56.83 kWh and 70.26 kWh, and CLTC ranges of 530 kilometers and 620 kilometers, respectively.
The four-wheel drive version of the eπ 007 is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 400 kW and a maximum torque of 640 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
It carries a battery pack with a capacity of 70.26 kWh and a CLTC range of 540 km.
eπ is offering a limited time offer for the 007's BEV model, with customers enjoying a discount of RMB 30,000 for purchases made before April 30, which lowers the starting price to RMB 136,600, RMB 149,600, and RMB 169,600, respectively.
eπ delivered vehicles to the first owners on the same day that eπ 007 was launched.
eπ is a new brand launched by Dongfeng on November 10 last year, when the eπ 007 made its debut.
eπ plans to launch 10 models in three years to cover the mainstream market, Dongfeng said at the time.
