World went live first in Ecuador, tomorrow it will go live in Chile, and in a few weeks it will be available in all Latin American countries.

BYD (OTCMKTS: BYDDY) has partnered with an AI and metaverse company to set up a showroom in the metaverse to get its products to reach more people.

On July 11, BYD and MeetKai launched BYD World -- an interactive virtual dealership, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) giant said today.

BYD World went live first in Ecuador and will go live in Chile tomorrow. In a few weeks, it will be launched in all Latin American countries, BYD said.

Powered by MeetKai's artificial intelligence and spatial computing technology, BYD World seamlessly blends the digital and physical worlds to deliver an immersive brand experience, it said.

"At BYD, we are always looking for unique and innovative ways to reach our end consumer, and we believe the Metaverse is the next frontier for selling cars and engaging with the consumer," said Stella Li, executive vice president of BYD and CEO of BYD Americas.

Visitors to the virtual dealership can explore the digital showroom, which features a 360-degree view of BYD's NEV lineup, from any device with access to a web browser.

Users can also configure, customize and interact with BYD products in detail and access comprehensive information on each model, BYD said.

By integrating MeetKai's XR technology, BYD customers can participate in virtual test drives to experience what it's like to actually drive these high-performance models.

There are also AI virtual advisors to ensure personalized guidance and support throughout the customer journey, BYD said.
