Tesla's share of the NEV market in China was 3.73 percent in October, and its share of the BEV market was 5.78 percent.

Tesla will raise the prices of the long-range versions of the Model 3 and Model Y in China on Thursday, November 9, local media quoted the company as saying.

Tesla plans to raise the prices of the cheaper versions of the Model Y in China, as a continuation of the price hike it put on the crossover's most expensive version in the country late last month.

This is another decline in Tesla's China-made vehicle sales after an 11.98 percent sequential drop in September.

The Model 3 was excluded from both the latest round of referral program announced today and the previous round announced on October 1.

The Tesla Model Y is offered in three versions in China, with the prices of the other two cheaper versions unchanged.

Model 3 retail sales in China were 2,079 units in September, contributing 4.78 percent to Tesla's sales in the country, a new low since October 2021, likely due in part to potential customers waiting for the new Model 3.

These vehicles may fail to give an alert when the brake fluid level is low, which in extreme cases can affect the vehicle's braking.

Both versions of the new Model 3 now have an estimated wait time of 6-9 weeks in China.
