Xpeng will reportedly use batteries from BYD in its Mona sub-brand. Aonther report earlier this month said Nio's Onvo sub-brand would use BYD batteries.

For May 1-12, Nio was 5,600, Xpeng 2,800, Li Auto 10,800, Xiaomi 2,000, Tesla 16,900, and BYD 101,300 units.

Xpeng CEO personally delivered the Xpeng X9 MPV to Nio's William Li during his visit to Volkswagen Anhui and Nio in Hefei.

Xpeng has entered into a partnership with Australia's TrueEV, which will be its sole importer, distributor and retailer in the country.

The sequential increase in new orders for Nio in April was mainly due to lower prices for its BaaS battery rental service, according to Deutsche Bank.

Xpeng delivered 21,821 vehicles in the first quarter, slightly above the lower end of the guidance range of 21,000 - 22,500 vehicles.

Li Auto had 5,300 insurance registrations last week and Xpeng 1,400.

Xpeng's X9 MPV delivered 1,959 units in April, bringing cumulative deliveries since launch to nearly 10,000 units.

Xpeng had 2,700 insurance registrations last week, Li Auto 7,060, Zeekr 5,000 and Xiaomi 1,670.

Tesla has great autonomous driving technology and brand, and only with the entry of more good products and technology can the whole market and customers have a better experience, Xpeng CEO said.
