This is the fifth consecutive month of sequential growth in monthly deliveries for Xpeng, but still well below the more than 20,000 monthly deliveries seen at the end of last year.

This is the second time Li Auto has surpassed the 50,000 mark in monthly deliveries, while the Li L6 surpassed 20,000 units for the second consecutive month.

Zeekr's production line upgrade will continue until mid-August. It said it will challenge single-month deliveries of 30,000 units in the fourth quarter.

Xiaomi SU7 deliveries exceeded 10,000 units in July and will continue to exceed the mark in August, Xiaomi EV said, adding that it expects to meet its full-year 100,000-unit delivery target ahead of schedule in November.

So far this month, Nio had 18,700 insurance registrations, Xpeng 7,800, Li Auto 43,000, Tesla 41,900, Xiaomi 11,400 and BYD 257,900.

China's passenger car retail sales fell in July from June, but the NEV market was bolstered by fast-growing sales of hybrid models, the CPCA said.

Deutsche Bank also expects Tesla to sell 45,000 units at retail in China in July, Li Auto at 48,000 units and Zeekr at 15,000 units.

So far this month, Nio had 13,300 insurance registrations in China, Tesla 28,400, Xiaomi 7,500, Xpeng 5,400, Li Auto 30,200 and BYD 187,300.

Xpeng had 1,700 insurance registrations last week, Li Auto 11,300, Zeekr 3,300 and Aito 9,400.

A total of 11.5 million units means that China's NEV sales will exceed the 10 million mark for the first time in 2024, representing a growth rate of 22 percent.
