Since March, the Qin family has been the top-selling BYD model in monthly sales.

All versions of the 2023 Song Plus are priced RMB 10,000 lower than the pre-sale.

Pre-sales for the new Song Plus DM-i start at RMB 169,800 and the Song Plus EV at RMB 179,800.

From January to May, the Qin family models sold 171,534 units and the Song family sold 216,625 units.

The 2023 Song Pro DM-i starts at RMB 5,000 less than the model's 2022 counterpart, but the two lower-priced versions come with larger battery packs.

BYD has offered some discounts on the Seal, Song Plus, Yuan Plus and Dolphin in the price war in the Chinese auto industry over the past two months.

Song L combines BYD's pioneering technology for young users who are looking for a stylish and sporty car, the company said.

The Qin family of models sold a record 40,850 units in March, surpassing the Song family's 40,510 units to become the best-selling BYD model for the month.

Consumers who order BYD's Song Plus lineup this month will receive a discount of RMB 6,800, or RMB 8,800 for the Seal.

BYD Song was the best-selling SUV in China in February with 51,592 retail sales, and the Model Y ranked No. 2 with 25,526 units.
