BYD Song

Song family models continued to rank as the top-selling BYD models with record sales of 114,938 vehicles in October.

The Song family sold a record 89,135 vehicles in September and continued to be the top-selling BYD lineup.

BYD has launched compact hybrid SUVs Sealion 05 DM-i and the second-generation Song Pro DM-i, both equipped with the more fuel-efficient DM 5.0 technology.

The Song and Qin families remain the best-selling BYD models, both selling more than 70,000 units in August.

BYD launched the 2025 Song L EV with a starting price of RMB 189,800 ($26,700), the same as its predecessor but with the DiPilot 100 driver assistance system.

The starting price of the 2025 Song Plus EV remains unchanged at RMB 149,800 ($20,980), but the top-trim variant is priced 7.38 percent lower.

The Qin family became the top-selling BYD model in July, dethroning the Song family, which has held the top spot in sales for the past year.

BYD has launched the Song L DM-i and the 2025 Song Plus DM-i, the second batch of DM 5.0-powered hybrid models after the Seal 06 DM-i and Qin L DM-i hybrid sedans.

BYD will launch the 2025 Song Plus DM-i and Song L DM-i on July 25, and they will be the first BYD SUVs to be equipped with the latest DM 5.0 hybrid system.

This is BYD's first hybrid launch in Ecuador, after it introduced the Han EV, Yuan Plus EV, Dolphin, and Tang EV in the country.
