BYD's Dolphin and Seal U will be introduced to Greece next.

BYD plans to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a factory in Indonesia this July, a senior local official said.

BYD has previously offered two BEVs, the Han and Atto 3, in the UAE, and the Song Plus and Qin Plus mark the first time it has offered PHEVs there.

The cost of building a Mexican plant could be around $600 million, similar to what BYD paid for its Brazilian EV plant, Bloomberg said, citing a person familiar with the matter.

Seagull is the latest in the Ocean range offered by BYD in Brazil and Mexico, following the Seal and Dolphin.

BYD presented the Seal U DM-i at the Geneva auto show and plans to launch the model in Europe in the second quarter.
