Nio is considering raising about $3 billion from investors and has approached investors from the Middle East, according to Bloomberg.

Shortly after the notes were priced, Nio purchased about $256 million aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes due 2026 and about $244 million of convertible senior notes due 2027.

Nio will waive service fees for car owners using its swap stations along highways during the upcoming National Day holiday, rather than waiving both service and electricity fees as it had previously done.

Nio president said media reports that the company sold 832 units in Europe in the first half of the year are inaccurate, and that the real results were three to four times that number.

Nio aims to boost NOP+ coverage to 200,000 kilometers of urban roads by the first quarter of 2024.

The App Store for Nio's vehicle cockpits will go live in the next few days, with more than 40 apps that have already been adapted to be available this month.

SkyOS is Nio's full-featured operating system, gradually realizing more functionality from the NT 1.0 platform to NT 2.0. The NT 3.0 platform will see the full-featured SkyOS.

The Yangjian chip will allow Nio to save about $100 per vehicle and recover its development costs in about a year, William Li said.

The Nio Phone is a phone built around Nio's vehicles, offering an interaction with the vehicle that no other device can offer. The phone will begin shipping on September 28.

Nio's first smartphone will feature a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display from Samsung Display, for which the company has orders for just 50,000 pieces, according to local media.
