Analysts at Huachuang Securities see BYD's market capitalization heading toward RMB 1 trillion ($155 billion), citing strong fundamentals including its auto business as well as its battery business.

BYD recently showcased the Dolphin model at ChinaJoy, a digital entertainment exhibition in Shanghai. The car will be based on BYD's latest e-Platform 3.0 and will feature BYD's latest "marine aesthetic" design concept for the first time.

The lower-priced Han EV is available for pre-order now, with deliveries expected to begin in September 2021.

BYD launched the Han model on July 12, 2020, which includes the Han EV and the Han DM, a hybrid model.

The first 45 buses will be in operation in 2022 on a number of routes in Ireland's capital and largest city, Dublin, and the central industrial city of Athlone.

Huawei HiCar enables Huawei phones to connect wirelessly to the car, allowing users to control their phones from the center console. The update also includes Remote Parking Assist and Music Ambient Light.

The blade battery, a power cell that BYD claims won't catch fire, was first used in its flagship Han EV model. It is now available in all BYD's all-electric models.
