Leapmotor (HKEX: 9863) plans to launch the updated versions of its C10, C11, and C16 models on June 16, with the three SUV (sport utility vehicle) models serving as the cornerstone of its sales.
The company's senior vice president Cao Li confirmed the product launch schedule in a Weibo video on June 3, as the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker seeks to consolidate its position in a fiercely competitive market through product line updates.
The current C10 has a starting price of 122,800 yuan ($18,160), while the current C11 and C16 start at 149,800 yuan and 151,800 yuan, respectively.
The three SUV models had a combined delivery of 78,297 units from January to April this year, contributing 43% of Leapmotor's total deliveries of 181,542 units during the same period, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Earlier today, Leapmotor shared the first official images of the updated versions of the three models on Weibo, showing that they will adopt a refreshed design language.
To attract a more diverse consumer base, Leapmotor will add a new gold exterior color and a brown interior color for its C-series SUVs.
The updated C10 features a new split headlight design, and the model's body length has increased by 10 mm to 4,749 mm. It offers consumers a choice of 18-inch and 20-inch wheels.

The updated C11 has also seen upgrades to its headlight system. The model features frameless doors and double-layer laminated glass for the front row to enhance the overall driving experience and cabin quietness.
To further enhance its sporty feel, the updated C11 will be equipped with 20-inch wheels and green four-piston brake calipers.

The exterior design of the updated C16 maintains a synchronized upgrade pace with the family series. The model's body length has also increased by 10 mm to 4,925 mm, and it continues to offer flexible five-seat and six-seat layout options.
In terms of powertrains, the maximum motor power for the extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants of these new models has been increased to 200 kW, according to previous regulatory filings.
The battery range for the EREV variants of the updated C10 and C16 has also been increased to 190 kilometers and 185 kilometers, respectively.
For the battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants, the maximum motor power will be increased to 230 kW, which is expected to provide drivers with stronger acceleration performance.
The Chinese EV maker backed by Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA) has maintained a strong delivery record recently.
In May, its deliveries reached a record 81,569 vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 80.99%.
From January to May, the company's deliveries reached 263,111 vehicles, up 51.51% year-on-year.
Leapmotor aims to deliver 1 million vehicles for the full year of 2026, and updates to the C-series as well as more new models will be key to supporting this ambitious target.
