Xiaomi EV delivered more than 30,000 vehicles in April, a significant jump from the 21,440 units handed over in March, signaling a sales recovery after first-quarter fluctuations.

The EV arm of Xiaomi shared the information on the social media platform Weibo on Friday, without disclosing the exact figures, as is customary. Specific delivery numbers for April are expected to be available in the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) report later this month.

The April delivery rebound was largely driven by the sustained momentum of the YU7 SUV, while the new-generation SU7 began to contribute more substantially to overall sales.

The highly anticipated YU7 GT, a high-performance all-electric SUV, will be officially launched at the end of May, according to a Xiaomi announcement last week.

The YU7 GT is officially positioned as an authentic, pure-blooded GT (Gran Turismo), a sports car-level SUV that offers driving pleasure and is capable of long-distance trips, Xiaomi said on April 24.

The new model measures 5,015 mm in length, 2,007 mm in width, and 1,597 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm, according to its regulatory filing.

It is equipped with a powerful new dual-motor system that delivers a combined maximum output of 738 kW (990 hp), enabling a top speed of 300 kilometers per hour.

The performance beast is expected to achieve a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of nearly two seconds, while offering a pure electric range of 705 kilometers under CLTC conditions.

The new vehicle is expected to be priced between 450,000 yuan ($65,900) and 500,000 yuan, which will further bolster Xiaomi's competitiveness in the premium market segment.

Xiaomi has set its full-year vehicle delivery target for 2026 at 550,000 units, representing an approximate 34% increase from the roughly 410,000 vehicles delivered in 2025.

As of April 30, Xiaomi operated 495 stores across 143 cities nationwide, with plans to continue its expansion to cover more new cities in May.

Xiaomi has delivered over 7,000 units of the updated SU7 since March 23.
