The SU7 electric sedan from Xiaomi EV has experienced a sudden, substantial reduction in delivery wait times, likely due to increased factory production capacity or a decrease in order volume.

Chinese customers ordering the SU7 Pro and SU7 Max now can expect delivery in 6-9 weeks, according to Xiaomi EV's mobile app.

This represents a significant reduction from the previous wait of about 30 weeks. The entry-level SU7 Standard Edition currently maintains a 29-32 week delivery wait time.

The last adjustment to SU7 delivery times occurred on November 4, when the SU7 Standard Edition dropped from 31-34 weeks to 30-33 weeks, the SU7 Pro decreased from 30-33 weeks to 29-32 weeks, and the SU7 Max fell from 28-31 weeks to 27-30 weeks, according to CnEVPost's daily monitoring.

The SU7 Ultra, a performance variant based on the standard SU7 sedan with supercar-level power, has maintained a 6-9 week delivery wait since September.

For Xiaomi EV's other model, the YU7 SUV (sport utility vehicle), the current delivery wait remains at 32-38 weeks.

Additionally, rumors circulating on Chinese social media earlier today claimed the Xiaomi SU7 is due for a facelift, potentially raising its price by RMB 9,900 ($1,390) and introducing 12 configuration upgrades.

Xiaomi EV has not yet responded to these rumors. The current starting prices for the three SU7 variants are RMB 215,900, RMB 245,900, and RMB 299,900.

Xiaomi EV delivered a record 48,654 vehicles in October, marking the second consecutive month exceeding 40,000 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

The YU7 delivered a record 33,662 units in October, accounting for 69.19 percent of Xiaomi EV's monthly deliveries -- a 50.49 percent increase from September's 22,369 units.

The SU7 sedan series, comprising the standard SU7 and SU7 Ultra, delivered 14,992 units in October, down 27.67 percent year-on-year and down 23.43 percent month-on-month.

The new team, led directly by Xiaomi's founder, is responsible for setting the technical direction for its next-generation EV technology architecture.
