Nio (NYSE: NIO) sub-brand Onvo announced today that its flagship three-row SUV (sport utility vehicle) model, the L90, will begin pre-sales on July 10, with display vehicles available at all stores at that time.
Onvo today unveiled the interior of the L90 for the first time, revealing a six-seat layout and what appears to be zero-gravity seats in the second row, a feature highly sought after by many.
The front row of the large SUV adopts a setup similar to Nio's latest models, including a horizontally mounted central screen and two panels for wireless phone charging.
The L90 features an entertainment screen on the roof, similar to many other domestic models, particularly Li Auto's (NASDAQ: LI) extended-range SUVs.
The L90 will be the first model launched by Shen Fei after he replaced Alan Ai as Onvo's president in April. The L60, Onvo's current sole model, was launched under Ai's leadership.
The L90 made its official debut on the first day of the 2025 Shanghai auto show on April 23, showcasing its spacious frunk and other storage compartments. Onvo said at the time that the SUV's launch was scheduled for the third quarter.
No pricing information for the L90 is currently available, but it will likely be much more expensive than the L60, given its larger size and space.
The L60 is a mid-size SUV with a starting price of RMB 206,900 ($28,870) including a 60-kWh standard-range battery pack.
The Onvo L90 measures 5,145 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width, and 1,766/1,786 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,110 mm, according to previous regulatory filings.
The SUV will offer single-motor and dual-motor options, similar to the L60. Currently, all Nio main brand models are dual-motor vehicles.
The L90 single-motor version will have battery pack options of 60.6 kWh and 85.1 kWh, with a CLTC range of 425 to 605 kilometers.
Notably, the L90 will come standard with an 85-kWh long-range battery pack, according to Onvo management in April.
In addition to the L90, Onvo will launch the L80 five-seat SUV in the fourth quarter, according to Nio management.
The L80 will be the five-seat version of the L90, according to a regulatory filing last month.
