The Premium version features a 90-kWh battery pack, while the Max version is equipped with a 116-kWh battery pack.

During yesterday's event, Avatr also showcased the Avatr 012 -- a limited-edition sedan with only 700 units available -- in Hong Kong.

The Avatr 012 was co-designed by Avatr's chief design officer Nader Faghihzadeh and Kim Jones, the artistic director of Dior and Fendi, targeting a high-end audience with a focus on fashion.

Avatr has already entered overseas markets including Thailand and Qatar.

The Avatr 11 is Avatr's first model, initially launched in the Chinese mainland in August 2022.

Last month, Avatr launched the 2025 Avatr 11 in the Chinese mainland, offering both BEV and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) variants.

The updated Avatr 11 EREV starts at RMB 289,900 in the Chinese mainland, while the BEV variant starts at RMB 309,900.

Avatr was formerly known as Changan Nio, established on July 10, 2018, by Changan and Nio (NYSE: NIO), with each holding a 50 percent stake at the time. Nio has since largely withdrawn from the company.

In late August 2021, Changan, CATL, and Huawei jointly announced the updated Avatr brand, stating that they would develop EVs based on the co-created CHN architecture, where C stands for Changan, H for Huawei, and N for CATL.

Avatr sold 11,681 vehicles in April, representing a year-on-year increase of 122.62 percent and a month-on-month increase of 11.51 percent, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

From January to April, Avatr sold 36,164 vehicles, marking a year-on-year increase of 82.84 percent.
