Nio (NYSE: NIO) will showcase its entire 2024 model lineup at the Beijing auto show, which begins in 10 days , with the ET7 sedan set for an official launch.
Nio will attend Auto China 2024 (18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition), and show its eight 2024 models to the public for the first time, the electric vehicle (EV) maker said in an English-language statement today.
The 2024 ET5 and 2024 ES7 will make their debut in China, while the 2024 ET7 will also be launched at the auto show, the company said.
Auto China 2024 will be held from April 25-May 4, with media days from April 25-26 and public days from April 27-May 4. Nio's booth is located at E207, China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi).
Auto China 2024 had began accepting media registrations, the event's secretariat said in a notice yesterday.
Earlier today, Nio announced on its mobile app that the 2024 Nio ET7 will be launched on April 25, the first day of the Beijing auto show, with reservations opening on April 16.
Nio didn't provide any more details in the article it posted on its mobile app, but shared multiple images of the model, showing off the exterior and interior of the updated ET7.
Nio has eight 2023 models -- ES8, ES7, ES6, EC7, EC6, ET7, ET5, ET5 Touring -- of which the first five are SUVs and the last three are sedans. Deliveries of the ET9, unveiled last December, will begin in the first quarter of 2025.
The company began accepting customer orders for the 2024 models of seven models except the ET7 on February 22. Deliveries of the 2024 ES8, EC7, ES6, EC6, and ET5 Touring began on March 8, and deliveries of the 2024 ET5 is set to start in April and the ES7 in May, according to Nio's previous announcement.
As a premium executive sedan built for business mobility, the 2024 ET7 comes with upgraded computing power which continues to lead the industry, significant improvements in seat comfort especially in the rear row, and an all-around upgrade in cabin intelligence and smart driving capabilities, Nio said in the statement today.
Artificial intelligence-enabled vehicle handling and stability will showcase China's advanced smart intelligent manufacturing, the company said.
Nio will showcase 12 full-stack technologies at its booth, including Smart Power, Smart Manufacturing, and Chip & Smart Hardware as well as the NIO Power Swap Station and 640 kW ultra-fast liquid-cooled charger.
The company will bring its Nio House on site, with over 300 user volunteers serving visitors.
Nio's lifestyle brand, Nio Life, will showcase Blue Sky Lab products made from automotive manufacturing leftovers, it said, adding that the company will also be inviting 12 guests with technical backgrounds, including users of the Nio AI community, to Nio's knowledge-sharing platform, Seed, to share their insights on technology and innovation.
