The 2024 Beijing auto show, or Auto China 2024, is now accepting media registrations, with the event just 10 days away from starting.

Auto China 2024 has begun accepting media registrations, the event's secretariat said in a notice yesterday, announcing specific details.

The auto show will be held from April 25-May 4, with media days from April 25-26 and public days from April 27-May 4.

Online registration for media credentials opens on April 14 and will close on April 24 at 4:00 pm Beijing Time. Those interested can register on the event's official website or WeChat.

Successfully registered journalists will be able to enter the venue on April 25-26, and will be able to choose any two days between April 27 and May 4 to enter the venue free of charge.

The show will be held at the China International Exhibition Center Shunyi New Venue.

Meanwhile, the parts and components show at the China International Exhibition Center Chaoyang Hall will be held from April 25 to 27.

Dear Journalists,

Auto China 2024 will take place at China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi) from April 25th to May 4th, and China International Exhibition Center (Chaoyang) from April 25th to 27th. Press Day will be held on April 25th and 26th.

We extend a warm welcome to your coverage this year. To facilitate your attendance, please carefully review the following Media Registration Rules and Regulations.

1. All journalists are required to register online.

Phone call and e-mail applications will not be accepted.

2. Online Registration:

- Registration Period: April 14th to April 24th, 2024 (16:00 GMT+8:00).

- Website: www.autochinashow.org

- Please complete the registration before visiting the exhibition.

3. Real Name Authentication:

Journalists must register using real names. Use your passport, Hong Kong/Macao Special Administrative Region Travel Permit, or Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents, along with your e-mail address for registration. Ensure accurate information and upload the required details.

4. Valid Certificates:

Fill out the form with genuine and valid information to facilitate timely communication.

5. Media E- Badge:

To enter the exhibition hall, you will need the Media E-Badge for verification; both a printed copy and a screenshot are acceptable. If your information is approved by the organizer, the Media E- Badge will be sent via e-mail.

Access Duration:

- Press days (April 25th to 26th, 2024).

- During the exhibition period (April 27th to May 4th, 2024), choose any two random days.

6. Media Badges:

On-site collection of media badges is available (Location: China International Exhibition Center-Shunyi South Square Media Registration Center). However, these badges are for security check access only and do not guarantee final admission. Entry will be denied to anyone presenting a media badge without the accompanying E-Badge.

7. Valid Verification:

All journalists must enter the exhibition with valid verification. The organizers reserve the right to refuse entry if the presented passport does not match the registered individual, or if there are inconsistencies with the media registration information.

8. Personal Application:

1) Press Cards Holders:

Those who possess press cards issued by the General Administration of Press and Publications of China.

2) Holders of certificates for Print Media Obtaining ISSN issued by the same authority.

3) Overseas Journalists Residing in China or Dispatched by Foreign News Agencies:

Those who hold a press card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China; Chinese employees of foreign news agencies are required to provide certification.

4) Overseas Journalists for Short-Term News Coverage must have a valid passport and J-2 visa.

5) Journalists from Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR and Taiwan for Short-Term News Coverage must possess a press card issued by the All China Journalists Association.

6) Radio/TV Reporters and Production Organizations require a staff card and official recommendation from Auto China 2024 (original copies only).

7) Website Journalists: Those working for affiliated websites of print media and publishing houses, or other relative websites with a special channel for Auto China 2024.

8) Freelancers, Editors, and Photographers Authorized by Legally Registered Publishing Houses and Photo Agencies must obtain original certificates from affiliated media organizations for on-site reporting. Certificates from Advertising and PR agencies are not acceptable.

9) Journalists Invited by Auto Exhibitors:

- Must present the original invitation listing the name of the invited correspondent.

- Exhibitor invitations via e-mails must be submitted along with the complete name list to the organizer.

- Lists submitted by Advertising & PR agencies are not acceptable.

10) Freelancers, Editors, and Photographers from New Media Platforms, please submit either pictures or links to your previous reports related to the auto industry.

- Journalists Not Meeting the Above Criteria will not be granted media registration. You are welcome to attend the event as visitors.

- The organizer reserves the right to evaluate applicants' qualifications using the criteria mentioned above. Final decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of unqualified applicants rest with the organizer.

9. On-site Registration:

On-site applications are restricted to domestic journalists and overseas journalists residing in China or dispatched by foreign news agencies who hold press cards issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China.

Media badges can be collected at China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi) South Square Media Registration Center.
