Denza is set to unveil a smart luxury flagship sedan that will go by the global name of Denza Z9GT, the company announced today.

's premium brand Denza is starting to preview a new model as it tries to expand its presence in the premium electric vehicle (EV) market.

Denza is going to unveil a smart luxury flagship sedan, which will be known globally as the Denza Z9GT, the company announced today on Weibo.

The Weibo post doesn't provide any more information, but the accompanying poster suggests that the Denza Z9GT will be a shooting brake model.

Earlier this week, spy shots of the Denza Z9GT being tested in Europe have been circulating on the Internet, showing that the model will be a sedan's shooting brake variant.

The Denza Z9GT is expected to go on sale at the end of this year, CnEVPost has learned.

Denza is a joint venture formed in 2010 by BYD and Daimler, with each holding a 50 percent stake at the time. In February 2022, Daimler was rebranded as Mercedes-Benz. BYD increased its stake in Denza to 90 percent in 2022.

Currently, Denza sells three models: the N7 SUV, the N8 SUV, and the D9 MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle).

In August 2022, the Denza D9 was launched, the first model of the brand after its reorganization.

On July 3, 2023, the Denza N7 was launched, the second model after Denza's shareholding reform and the brand's first SUV.

On August 5, 2023, the mid-to-large-size SUV Denza N8 was launched.

The company launched the updated N7 on April 1 with a starting price of RMB 239,800 ($33,150), a reduction of RMB 62,000, or 20.54 percent, from its predecessor's RMB 301,800.

Between 8 pm and 12 am on April 1, the updated N7 received 3,378 orders, Denza announced on April 2.
