The wait time in China has gotten longer for the long-range version of Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model Y SUV, whose price was cut last month.
Tesla currently offers three versions of the Model Y in China: an entry-level rear-wheel-drive version, a dual-motor all-wheel-drive Model Y Long Range, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive Model Y Performance.
Chinese customers who order the Model Y Long Range now can expect deliveries in six to eight weeks, information on Tesla's Chinese website shows. That's up from the previous 2-6 weeks.
The wait time for the other two versions of the Model Y in China remains unchanged at 2-6 weeks. All other information on these three versions, including prices and specifications, remains unchanged.
Tesla cut the prices of both the Model Y Long Range as well as the Model Y Performance in China by 14,000 yuan ($1,930), or about 4 percent, on August 14. The entry-level Model Y was unchanged at the time.
Following the move, the starting price of the Model Y Long Range dropped to RMB 299,900 from RMB 313,900, and the Model Y Performance's starting price dropped to RMB 349,900 from RMB 363,900.

Tesla has a factory in Shanghai that produces the Model 3 sedan and Model Y.
Tesla unexpectedly began pre-sales of the revamped Model 3 in China on September 1, and then had the model debuted at the China International Fair For Trade in Services, which is being held in Beijing.
The new Model 3 continues to offer an entry-level, single-motor, rear-wheel-drive model, but the previously available dual-motor Performance version has been replaced by a dual-motor Long Range version.
Pre-sale prices for the entry rear-wheel drive Model 3 in China start at RMB 259,900, which is RMB 28,000, or 12 percent, higher than the old model's starting price of RMB 231,900.
The dual-motor, all-wheel-drive, long-range version of the Model 3 starts at RMB 295,900 for pre-sales. For comparison, the previously available dual-motor, all-wheel-drive performance version of the Model 3 has a starting price of RMB 331,900.
The expected delivery dates for both versions of the revamped Model 3 are the fourth quarter, according to information on Tesla's website.
