Correction: A previous version of the first paragraph incorrectly spelled EC6 as ES6.

The new EC6 was not unveiled at the Chengdu auto show, which starts today, and didn't hold a press conference at the event like it did last year.

Nio (NYSE: NIO) is presenting a full lineup of models at the Chengdu auto show, which starts today, but the new EC6, which some expected might be unveiled at the event, was not present.

This year's Chengdu auto show is being held at the Western China International Expo City and runs through September 3, with a media day on August 25. Nio's booth is located at H1010 in Hall 10.

As it has done at previous major auto shows, Nio built a replica of its flagship showroom, Nio House, at the Chengdu auto show site, comprising two floors with a total area of 1,000 square meters.

The first floor showcases Nio's full range of models, a third-generation battery swap station with a transparent bottom, the Nio Power zone, and Nio's technology, according to an article the company posted on its mobile app today.

The second floor includes areas such as the Living room, Library, Nio Café, and Joy Camp, just like the regular Nio House.

Nio's current models on sale include the ES8, ES6, ES7, ET5, ET7, EC7, and ET5 Touring. In addition to these production vehicles, the company also showed off the EP9 electric supercar.

On August 3, local automotive media Auto Home shared two images of the new EC6, saying the model is expected to be officially launched at the Chengdu auto show.

The new EC6 in these two images is not only free of camouflage, but also has been fitted with an official license plate, unlike previously circulated spy shots without a license plate.

However, the new EC6 was not unveiled at today's auto show, and Nio did not hold a press conference at the event as it did last year.
