Zeekr today announced that customers who purchase the Zeekr 001 during the year will receive a discount of between RMB 30,000 and RMB 37,000.

Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has begun offering significant discounts on the Zeekr 001 shooting brake model, as it ramps up promotions in the second half of the year to meet full-year sales targets.
Zeekr announced today that customers who purchase the Zeekr 001 during the year can receive a discount of up to RMB 37,000 ($5,130).
The Zeekr 001 is Zeekr's first model, launched on April 17, 2021, and deliveries began in October 2021.
The Zeekr 001 offers four versions, two of which start at RMB 300,000 and the other two at RMB 349,000 and RMB 386,000 respectively.
Customers who buy the model between August 11 and December 31 can get a discount of RMB 30,000 to RMB 37,000, Zeekr said.
Specifically, both versions of the Zeekr 001 with a starting price of RMB 300,000 offer RMB 31,000, or a 10.33 percent discount, bringing the starting price down to RMB 269,000.
The version with a starting price of RMB 349,000 offers RMB 30,000, or an 8.6 percent discount, bringing the starting price down to RMB 319,000.
The version with a starting price of RMB 386,000 offers RMB 37,000, or a 9.59 percent discount, bringing the starting price down to RMB 349,000.
In addition to the cash discounts, Zeekr is also giving customers who buy most Zeekr 001 models a free 7-kW home charger.
Zeekr delivered a record 12,039 vehicles in July, the second time this year it has surpassed the 10,000 mark, bringing year-to-date deliveries to 54,672 units.
It's worth noting that Zeekr is aiming to double its deliveries this year from last year to around 140,000, which means it would need to deliver around 85,330 vehicles over the next five months, or an average of 17,000 per month, to meet its goal.
Apart from the Zeekr 001, Zeekr has two other models on sale --- the Zeekr 009 MPV, and the Zeekr X urban SUV.
The Zeekr 009 was launched on November 1, 2022 and its deliveries began on January 17. The Zeekr 009 is currently available in two variants with a starting price of RMB 499,000 and RMB 788,000 respectively.
The Zeekr X was launched on April 12, and its deliveries began on June 12. The model is offered in three versions, one with a starting price of RMB 189,800 and the other two at RMB 209,800.
Responding to a question from CnEVPost in an interview after the Zeekr X launch, Zeekr CEO Andy An said the company aims to deliver 40,000 Zeekr X units this year.
Zeekr is the latest to offer discounts on car purchases, as local EV companies ramp up promotions in the second half of the year.
On August 3, BYD (OTCMKTS: BYDDY) announced that customers who buy the Frigate 07 between August 1 and September 30 will get a RMB 8,800 discount. The company had previously offered similar discounts for Song and Seal.
On July 20, Neta Auto launched a facelift for the Neta S with a starting price of RMB 159,800, a reduction of RMB 30,000, or 15.81 percent, from the RMB 189,800 of the previously on-sale model.
