Geely's premium electric vehicle (EV) brand Zeekr delivered a record 12,039 vehicles in July, the second time this year it has surpassed the 10,000 mark, according to data released today.

That's up 139.73 percent from 5,022 vehicles in the same month last year and up 13.36 percent from 10,620 vehicles in June.

This is the sixth sequential increase in Zeekr's monthly deliveries, after the figure plummeted to 3,116 units in January due to a plant shutdown for upgrades.

In the January-July period, Zeekr delivered 54,672 vehicles, up 127.50 percent from 24,032 in the same period a year ago. The company is targeting to double its full-year deliveries this year compared to 2022 to about 140,000 vehicles.

At the end of July, Zeekr's cumulative deliveries since its inception stood at 132,620 vehicles, data monitored by CnEVPost showed.

Zeekr was formally established as a separate company in March 2021, with its first model, the Zeekr 001shooting brake, launched on April 17, 2021, and deliveries beginning in October 2021.

The Zeekr 001 is currently offered in four versions with starting prices of RMB 300,000 ($41,900), RMB 300,000, RMB 349,000 and RMB 386,000 respectively.

On November 1, 2022, Zeekr's second model, the Zeekr 009 MPV, was officially launched, with deliveries commencing on January 17, 2022. The Zeekr 009 is currently available in two variants, with a starting price of RMB 499,000 and RMB 788,000, respectively.

On April 12, Zeekr released its third model, the Zeekr X, which is available in three versions, one with a starting price of RMB 189,800 and the other two at RMB 209,800. Deliveries of the model began on June 12.

To date, Zeekr has established more than 300 directly-managed stores in 75 cities in China, the company said today.

Zeekr unveiled its European strategy on April 18, the first day of the Shanghai auto show, and on June 27 announced the start of pre-sales of the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X in Europe.

The models, which start at €59,490 ($65,220) and €44,990 respectively in Europe, will go on sale first in Sweden and the Netherlands, with first deliveries expected to begin within the year.

On July 10, Zeekr announced that it had signed an agreement with Israeli dealer Union Group to jointly establish a car distribution network in Israel.
