delivered 71,941 vehicles in 2022, reaching its goal of delivering 70,000 vehicles for the year.

Geely's premium electric vehicle (EV) brand Zeekr delivered a record 11,337 vehicles in December, according to figures released today.

That's up 198.66 percent from 3,796 vehicles a year ago and up 2.96 percent from 11,011 vehicles in November.

Zeekr delivered 32,467 vehicles in the fourth quarter, up 440.49 percent year-on-year and up 58.65 percent from the third quarter.

For the full year 2022, Zeekr delivered 71,941 vehicles, meeting its goal of delivering 70,000 vehicles for the year.

The average order value of Zeekr's vehicles exceeded RMB 336,000 ($48,720), the company said today, repeating previous figures.

Zeekr was officially launched as an independent company in March 2021, with the Zeekr 001 announced on April 15, 2021 and deliveries beginning in October 2021.

On November 1 2022, Zeekr's second model, the Zeekr 009 MPV, was launched, with deliveries to begin in January 2023.

Zeekr filed a draft registration statement for a possible initial public offering (IPO) with the SEC on December 7 on a confidential basis, Geely Automobile Holdings said in a December 13 Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) announcement.

Zeekr will continue to be a non-wholly owned subsidiary of Geely Automobile Holdings upon completion of the spin-off, the announcement said, adding that the maximum applicable percentage rate for the spin-off may be expected to be more than 5 percent but less than 25 percent.

This follows an October 31 announcement in which Geely said it filed a proposal with the HKEX to spin off Zeekr and list it separately.

On December 12, Reuters reported that Zeekr had secretly filed for a US IPO aimed at raising more than $1 billion.

Zeekr was seeking a valuation of more than $10 billion in what would be the first major US IPO of a Chinese company in a year and a half, the report said.
