's electric sports car, the Neta E, is available in a two-motor version as well as two single-motor version, each with a maximum power of 170 kW.

Neta Auto, the electric vehicle brand owned by Hozon Auto, began warming up its electric sports car yesterday, and now a regulatory filing reveals what the car will look like.

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology today announced the latest batch of models that will soon be allowed to be sold in China, and the new Neta E sports car is included.

The public can submit feedback on the catalog between December 15 and December 21 if they have comments. Entry into the catalog is the last major regulatory process before a model is allowed to be sold in China.

Three versions of the two-door Neta E have entered the catalog. One version is equipped with dual motors, both with a maximum power of 170 kW. The other two versions have a single motor with a maximum power of 170 kW. They all have a top speed of 190 kilometers per hour.

The model measures 4,715 mm in length, 1,979 mm in width and 1,415 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,770 mm.

Its power battery suppliers include , Eve Energy, battery types include lithium iron phosphate batteries as well as ternary batteries.

Neta is currently targeting the cheap EV market, with the company currently delivering the Neta V and Neta U for around 100,000 RMB ($14,370).

On July 31, Neta officially launched its flagship sedan, the Neta S, with a price range of RMB 199,800 - 338,800, as part of Neta's efforts to enter the premium market. Deliveries of the model began on November 30.

Neta delivered 15,072 cars in November, up 50.5 percent from 10,013 units a year earlier but down 16.3 percent from 18,016 units in October, data released earlier this month showed.

The Neta E sports car's specifications are not too high, so it can be expected that its price will not be as high as the current gasoline-powered sports cars.

GAC Aion, the NEV subsidiary of GAC Group, unveiled the Hyper SSR electric sports car on September 15, with a pre-sale price of RMB 1.286 million for the regular version.

The model, which GAC Aion says is the fastest accelerating car on the planet, will begin mass production and delivery in October next year.
