The model is a full-size luxury SUV with next-generation extended-range technology, a new intelligent cabin and intelligent driving technology.

, which currently has only the Li ONE on sale,  will unveil its second model in a few months.

The company plans to launch its second model in the second quarter of this year, it said today.

Li Auto mentioned the plan in its fourth-quarter and full-year 2021 financial results report to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and the plan was not mentioned in its English press release.

The model is a full-size luxury SUV with next-generation extended-range technology and a new intelligent cabin and smart driving technology that will further enhance the driving experience for families, the company said.

Li Auto will also continue to develop all-electric models that can support ultra-fast charging, providing a superior experience in terms of charging time, it said.

The company will focus on smart cockpits and smart driving development to provide safer, more convenient and comfortable products and services for users, it said.

The report did not provide more on its product roadmap, although company executives did mention plans for the new SUV last year.

On November 30 last year, Li Auto executives said in a conference call following the company's third-quarter earnings announcement that the X01, the first model of the company's next-generation X platform with extended-range technology, would be unveiled in the second quarter of 2022, with deliveries expected to begin in the third quarter.

Li Auto currently has only one model on sale - the Li ONE with extended-range technology, which is mainly aimed at family customers, especially young parents.

Last year, local media leaked information about the specifications of the X01, showing that it has an overall upgrade in size compared to the Li ONE.

Li Auto's X01 model measures 5,150/1,980/1,800 mm in length, width and height, which is larger than the current Li ONE's 5,023/1,960/1,755 mm, a specs table from Cheshi shows.

Its front and rear drive motors are 130 and 200kW respectively, with peak torques of 200 and 450 N-m. This gives it a considerable boost in power parameters over the Li ONE, and shortens the 0-100km acceleration time from 6.5 seconds to 5.8 seconds.

Recently, several more spy photos of the model have appeared on Weibo.
