Xpeng's first European production facility is in Austria, where the first batch of G6 and G9 SUVs have rolled off the line.

Xpeng is working on a plan to reduce the cost of the G6, with a potential reduction of up to RMB 20,000 per vehicle, according to a local media report.

China has tightened its regulations on NEV production qualifications since 2017, and the production qualifications Xpeng has received are among the very few.

Xpeng CEO said the company expects to see the industrial park bring in 80 to 100 companies from the supply chain in the next 2 to 3 years.

Xpeng resumed double-shift production at the Zhaoqing plant in mid-May and will accelerate deliveries to meet customer demand.
