Xiaomi SU7 Ultra

A Xiaomi SU7 caught fire after a severe collision, reportedly trapping a driver inside.

Xiaomi president showcased an SU7 Ultra with a German license plate, saying it was the company's first experimental vehicle registered in Europe.

The SU7 Ultra achieved a lap time of 7:04.957 on the Nürburgring circuit in Germany, surpassing the previous record of 7:07.55 set by the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT in September 2023.

This means that the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has seen a net increase of around 13,000 units in locked-in orders over the past roughly three months.

The partnership includes the new Xiaomi curve on the Grand Prix circuit and a new advertising installation on the Nordschleife.

Xiaomi EV has been ramping up production capacity and has made some progress, Xiaomi CEO said.

Xiaomi has already delivered 180,000 SU7s and there are still 140,000-150,000 vehicles waiting to be delivered.

This is the first time Xiaomi's management has mentioned a timeline regarding the entry of its EV business into overseas markets.

The SU7 Ultra has a starting price of RMB 529,900 ($72,750). In China, 121,000 sedans priced at over RMB 500,000 were sold in 2024.

On March 3, Xiaomi will give the SU7 Ultra its overseas debut at the MWC 2025 event in Spain.
