Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) announced today that it will showcase the full range of models from its three brands at the 2025 Shanghai auto show next week.
This will be the fifth time for the Nio main brand to participate in the biennial Shanghai auto show, and the first time for its sub-brands Onvo and Firefly to make an appearance at the show.
The 2025 Shanghai auto, or Auto Shanghai 2025, will be held from April 23 to May 2 at the city's National Exhibition and Convention Center, with April 23-24 being media days.
This year's edition of the event will feature 13 indoor halls, eight of which will showcase passenger cars.
The Nio brand and Firefly brand's shared booth is 7A16 in Hall 7.1H, near BMW and Great Wall Motor. The hall also features Lotus and the ultra-luxury brand Bentley.
Onvo's booth is at 6B03 in Hall 6.2H, opposite Xiaomi EV's 6B02.
Nio will once again bring its flagship showroom, Nio House, to the Shanghai auto show, the Shanghai-based electric vehicle (EV) maker said today in an announcement posted on the Nio App.
The Nio House typically has two floors, with the first used to display vehicles and the second used as a lounge and user activity area.
The Nio brand will showcase its full range of vehicles, including its executive flagship sedan, the ET9, the company said.
Nio's 12 full-stack technologies, as well as its technological achievements including its in-house developed smart driving chip Shenji NX9031, steer-by-wire system, and 900-volt high-performance electric drive system, will also be on display in the brand's core technology area.
Firefly's first model -- with the same name as the brand -- will be officially launched on April 19 and will be shown on the same stage as Nio-branded models at the Shanghai auto show.
This is Firefly's first appearance at an international auto show, Nio's announcement noted.
Firefly's first model, a compact battery electric vehicle (BEV), went on pre-sales in China at Nio Day 2024 last December at a pre-sales price of RMB 148,800 yuan ($20,350).
Onvo will showcase its mid-size electric SUV (sport utility vehicle), the L60, and will debut its flagship SUV, the L90.
The Onvo L90 is a six-seat SUV that measures 5,145 mm in length and will come standard with a battery pack with a capacity of 85 kWh, CnEVPost's report yesterday noted.
