CATL plans to launch a second-generation Qilin Battery with a 6C charging multiplier in the second half of 2024, and BYD's second-generation Blade Battery could also be launched in the second half of the year, with a 6C battery in the works.

Last week's insurance registrations were 1,800 for Xpeng, 4,200 for Zeekr, 8,900 for Aito and 3,800 for Leapmotor.

BYD's PHEVs have continued to hit record highs over the past three months, performing significantly better than BEVs, reflecting the overall market's greater acceptance of hybrid models.

BYD said it has built up a team of more than 100 people in Saudi Arabia and will open more stores there.
