BYD officially entered the Thai market in 2022 and now has a 41 percent share of the local NEV market.

BYD just saw its 7 millionth NEV roll off the line on March 25.

BYD received 5,345 orders at the Bangkok auto show, which ended on April 7, placing it in second place in terms of orders received at the event.

BYD announced the plan at the ongoing Bangkok auto show, where its full range of brands including BYD, Yangwang, Fang Cheng Bao and Denza are participating.

Rever currently has about 100 dealership outlets, making BYD the dominant automaker in Thailand's EV market with a 40 percent share.

The Dolphin was the top-selling all-electric vehicle in Thailand in November with 2,825 units sold, followed by the Atto 3 in 2nd place with 1,142 units sold, BYD said.

BYD and Forvia will build a new seat assembly plant in Thailand's Rayong province, following their joint establishment of seven factories in China.

BYD, Hozon and SAIC together accounted for more than 68 percent of the Southeast Asian BEV market in the first quarter.

BYD has brought the Dolphin to the Australian, Brazilian and Singaporean markets in the past 10 days.

On March 10, BYD held a groundbreaking ceremony for the plant in Thailand, and the delivery ceremony for the 10,000th BYD Atto 3.
