Polestar has taken a page out of Nio's book by stripping out some of the perks, thus lowering the Polestar 4's starting price by 14 percent to RMB 299,900.

Jiyue announced the start of pre-sales of the Jiyue 01 at a launch event that began at 3 pm yesterday at a starting price of RMB 259,900.

Jiyue 01 pre-sales start at RMB 259,900, and its first production vehicles rolled off the assembly line today at Geely's plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.

The L6 is Geely Galaxy's first sedan and the brand's second model after the L7 SUV.

Smart delivered a total of 27,702 EVs in China from January to July, bringing the total number of units delivered in China since the electrification transition to 37,044.

The Smart #1 will also be available in Italy, the Netherlands, and Portugal, and the Smart #3 will be officially launched and deliveries will begin in Europe early next year.

Tianqi has acquired a 2.83 percent stake in Smart, giving the Mercedes-Geely JV a valuation of $5.3 billion.

The first Smart #3 vehicles were delivered in 41 cities. To date, Smart has completed 164 offline stores in China.

Polestar will own 49 percent of the joint venture, with Xingji Meizu holding the remaining 51 percent.

The Smart #3 is available in three regular versions and a limited edition, with a price range of RMB 209,900 to 289,900.
