- The Linghui e9 starts at 150,800 yuan ($22,170) and primarily targets the commercial mobility market, such as ride-hailing.

Linghui, a sub-brand under BYD (HKG: 1211) focused on the commercial mobility market, officially launched its new flagship C-segment sedan, the Linghui e9, on Saturday, featuring the company's latest technologies.
The battery electric vehicle (BEV) sedan is available in three variants, with an official guide price ranging from 150,800 yuan ($22,170) to 169,800 yuan.
The launch of the Linghui e9, the second model under the sub-brand after the Linghui e7, marks a significant step forward in BYD’s strategic plan, as the company seeks to develop dedicated fleet models outside of its main brand lineup.
The move aims to prevent the same models from being used in the mobility market, which could drag down its premium brand image as it expands into the high-margin luxury car market.
As a flagship model focused on commercial mobility, the biggest technical highlight of the Linghui e9 is the integration of BYD's second-generation Blade Battery and the latest flash charging technology.
This highly optimized battery system allows the vehicle to rapidly replenish its charge from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes.
Even in extreme cold conditions of minus 30 degrees Celsius, the vehicle's ultra-fast charging time is only about 3 minutes longer than at normal room temperature, according to the company.
This charging efficiency significantly improves operational efficiency for commercial fleets that require high-frequency recharging.
Built on the platform of BYD's existing popular Han sedan, the Linghui e9 has a body length of 4,995 mm and a wheelbase of 2,920 mm.
It offers two front-mounted single-motor versions of 135 kW and 150 kW, with pure electric range options of 535 km and 605 km.
The Linghui e9 is equipped with the God's Eye advanced driver assistance system, which includes 26 high-precision sensors and supports navigation-assisted driving capabilities on highways and expressways.
To attract potential commercial customers, Linghui simultaneously rolled out several launch benefits.
Buyers can enjoy financial plans with as low as zero down payment, and owners of specific models can also receive up to 12 months of free charging or waived service fees at flash charging stations.
