- Smart unveiled the Concept #2 prototype, aiming to reinvent the classic two-seater city commuter car.
- The brand also introduced its first premium fastback sedan, the #6 EHD, featuring a combined range of 1,810 kilometers.

Smart, a premium electric vehicle (EV) brand backed by Mercedes-Benz and Geely, unveiled two new models ahead of the Beijing Auto Show, paving the way for their official launches later this year.
The company debuted the Smart Concept #2 and the #6 EHD premium fastback sedan at an event in Beijing on Wednesday, marking an acceleration in its global product lineup expansion.
The Smart Concept #2 represents the reinvention of the brand's iconic ForTwo two-seater city commuter car, with its production version set to make its world premiere at the Paris Motor Show in October.
The model is built on an all-new electric compact architecture developed in-house by Smart, with its exterior styled by the Mercedes-Benz global design team.

The concept car measures just 2.79 meters in total length but retains the signature "wheels-at-the-corners" setup, offering a tight turning radius of only 6.95 meters.
The new concept vehicle has a pure electric range of nearly 300 kilometers and supports DC fast charging, capable of charging the battery from 10% to 80% in under 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, Smart also celebrated the world premiere of the #6 EHD, marking the brand's first entry into the premium fastback sedan segment.
The new vehicle, designed specifically for modern mobility, will launche first in the Chinese market, with its pre-sales price to be announced at the Beijing Auto Show, which opens on April 24.
Powered by advanced electric hybrid drive technology, the Smart #6 delivers a combined range of 1,810 kilometers under the CLTC (China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) standards.
The new model boasts fuel consumption as low as 3.9 liters per 100 kilometers and utilizes a high-strength cage body structure to ensure the structural integrity of a traditional sedan.
Smart is accelerating its strategic growth, planning to expand its global product portfolio from the current three models to five models this year.
The brand currently operates in around 40 markets globally, and its customer service brand smartcare is set to launch across Europe starting mid-year.
