Li Auto's sales performance in 2025 has been lackluster, as its L-series extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) face intensifying competition while its i-series battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are in the midst of ramping up production capacity.

The company is preparing a major product realignment to enhance competitiveness and reduce cannibalization between models, local media outlet LatePost reported yesterday.

Li Auto's all-electric SUV Li i8 will remain and undergo continuous iterations, with no plans for discontinuation, the report cited multiple independent sources as saying.

For its EREV models, the company will focus on adjusting products in the RMB 300,000 ($42,900) to RMB 400,000 price range, concentrating on improving average vehicle efficiency by streamlining model variants, according to LatePost.

Li Auto may also launch a premium model priced above RMB 500,000, the report said.

Li Auto acknowledged its slowdown in action during a strategic meeting, planning to speed up product release pace and expand overseas market efforts.
