Chery's (HKG: 9973) premium automotive brand Exeed has filed for its all-new SUV model ET7, continuing to expand its ET lineup.

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released its latest catalog of vehicles awaiting sales approval for public comment yesterday, with the Exeed ET7 included.

Public feedback can be submitted between November 11-17. Inclusion in this catalog represents the final major regulatory step before a vehicle can be sold in China.

The Exeed ET7 has four pages in the catalog under model codes SQR6501BEVE0Y3, SQR6500BEVE0YB, SQR6500REEVE0YA, and SQR6500REEVE0Y7, with production slated at Chery's Wuhu plant in Anhui province.

The SUV features two battery electric vehicle (BEV) options and two extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) options in the filing.

The Exeed ET7 BEV offers single-motor and dual-motor configurations. The single-motor version utilizes a rear motor with a maximum power output of 230 kW (308 hp), while the dual-motor variant adds a front motor delivering 123 kW.

The EREV versions incorporate a 1,499-liter engine as a range-extender, delivering a maximum power output of 115 kW.

The five-seat SUV measures 4,988 mm in length, 1,975 mm in width, and 1,710/1,702 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,000 mm.

The Exeed ET7 has a curb weight of 2,200 to 2,400 kilograms and supports a top speed of 195 to 210 kilometers per hour.

It utilizes ternary lithium batteries and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, with suppliers including CATL (HKG: 3750) and Gotion High-tech (SHE: 002074).

Exeed debuted the smaller ET5 midsize SUV at the Chengdu auto show in late August, targeting the family SUV market.

The model, internally codenamed E05, was named ET5 to continue its ET series, Exeed said at the time.

Pre-sales for the Exeed ET5 is set to begin on November 13. It will be the first model equipped with Horizon Robotics' Journey 6P chip and HSD (Horizon SuperDrive) urban driving assistance system.

In China, the ET5 is most widely recognized as Nio Inc's (NYSE: NIO) midsize electric sedan. Nio also offers the mid-to-large size ET7 sedan and flagship ET9 sedan.

Beyond the ET5, Exeed's Sterra lineup includes the Sterra ET and Sterra ES models.

The Exeed ET5 is an EREV with a battery range of 205 kilometers.
