Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) -- one of China's earliest extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) players -- has seen cumulative deliveries of its EREV models reach 1.4 million units, despite significant sales declines this year.

The company announced this milestone on Weibo today, saying that cumulative deliveries for both the Li L6 and Li L7 have surpassed 330,000 units, while the Li L8 has exceeded 250,000 units and the Li L9 has surpassed 280,000 units. The discontinued Li One has achieved cumulative deliveries exceeding 200,000 units.

Li Auto's current lineup of EREVs consists entirely of SUVs (sport utility vehicles), including the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9, with higher-numbered models commanding higher prices.

The Li L6 is the company's most affordable model, starting at RMB 249,800 ($35,090). The Li L9 starts at RMB 409,800.

The Li L6 was launched on April 18, 2024, and reached its 100,000th delivery in September -- just five months after market debut. Cumulative deliveries for this model hit 300,000 units in July this year.

The Li L7 was launched on February 8, 2023, achieving 100,000 deliveries on November 7, 2023, and reaching 300,000 units on May 10 this year.

The Li L8 was launched on September 30, 2022, while the Li L9 was launched on June 21, 2022.

These models demonstrated strong performance last year but have experienced significant sales declines this year amid intensifying competition.

Li Auto's L-series EREVs all saw year-on-year monthly delivery declines exceeding 50 percent in September, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

The company delivered 31,767 vehicles in October, a 38.25 percent year-on-year decline, marking its fifth consecutive month of significant year-on-year contraction. Model-specific delivery breakdowns for October are not yet available.

The company launched two pure-electric SUVs this year -- the Li i6 and Li i8 -- and is currently focused on ramping up their production capacity.

Another model, the pure-electric Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), underwent a large-scale recall last month due to battery fire risks.

From January to September, Li Auto's deliveries fell 13.07 percent year-on-year, while Xpeng surged 217.77 percent.
