Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) officially unveiled the A868, a new product from its flying car unti Aridge, at yesterday's 2025 AI Day event, following its demonstration in Dubai last month.

The A868 utilizes a hybrid system with a range exceeding 500 kilometers, designed for multi-passenger long-distance travel, Xpeng said.

The flying car can accommodate six passengers and achieves a maximum speed exceeding 360 km/h.

Xpeng said that the A868 prototype has entered the test flight phase.

Xpeng's flying car unit, previously named Aeroht, was rebranded as Aridge last month. Its current focus is on the Land Aircraft Carrier modular flying car system, designed for individual low-altitude flight experiences.

The Land Aircraft Carrier system consists of a flying car and a mother vehicle capable of recharging it. Xpeng said it has secured over 7,000 orders for the Land Aircraft Carrier to date.

Aridge has established a flying car factory in Guangzhou, aiming for modern assembly line production with deliveries targeted to begin in 2026.

On November 3, Aridge produced the first flying body of its modular flying car at this facility.

The plant has an initial annual capacity of 5,000 units, expanding to 10,000 units at full production. At maximum output, the assembly line can produce one aircraft every 30 minutes.
