Geely Auto's sub-brand Geely Galaxy has teased a new car, as it launches new models intensively this year.
The brand announced today on Weibo that its big six-seat flagship SUV (sport utility vehicle) is officially named Geely Galaxy M9.
The model will be loaded with cutting-edge technologies to "create more good times" for customers around the world, Geely Galaxy wrote in a Weibo post, without revealing any further information.
Geely Galaxy was originally a new product lineup that was officially launched on February 23, 2023. On March 3 of this year, Geely announced the upgrade of Geely Galaxy to a new brand.
Geely Galaxy models currently on sale include Xingyuan, L6, L7, E8, Starship 7, Starship 8, and LEVC L380.
The M9 is expected to be Geely Galaxy's highest priced, as the number 9 is often used in China to name a car company's top model.
Last week, Chinese automotive media Auto Home shared several spy shots claiming that they were of Geely Galaxy's new six-seater SUV, possibly named Starship 9.
The camouflage-wrapped model has the Chinese name for the G-Pilot driver assistance system emblazoned on the side of its body. Geely Auto unveiled G-Pilot on March 4, available for its sub-brands.
The new model is expected to be a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), according to Auto Home.
