Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) will officially launch the facelifted C10 SUV (sport utility vehicle) on May 15, after starting pre-sales of the model late last month.

A launch event will begin at 2:00 pm Beijing time on May 15, and customers who pre-order the model now can receive limited-time benefits, Leapmotor announced today on Weibo.

Leapmotor calls the facelift the 2026 C10, and it comes a year after the five-seat SUV's launch last March.

On April 30, Leapmotor began pre-sales of the updated C10, with a pre-sales starting price of RMB 129,800 ($17,900).

The SUV continues to be offered in extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) and battery electric vehicle (BEV) variants, just like its predecessor.

The updated C10 EREV is offered in two variants with pre-sale starting prices of RMB 129,800 and RMB 139,800 respectively.

The updated C10 BEV is also available in two variants with pre-sales starting prices of RMB 139,800 and RMB 149,800 respectively.

Customers who pre-order the model now can get up to RMB 19,680 in limited-time benefits.

In the Chinese EV industry, a new car model is usually priced lower at official launch than at pre-sales.

The previous C10 EREV was offered in three variants with starting prices of RMB 135,800, RMB 145,800 and RMB 165,800 respectively.

The previous C10 BEV was offered in four variants with starting prices of RMB 128,800, RMB 138,800, RMB 148,800 and RMB 168,800 respectively.

The updated C10 measures 4,739 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm, according to a regulatory filing. The dimensions are the same as those of its predecessor.

The 2026 C10 comes with LiDAR in both the highest-priced variants of the BEV and EREV options, similar to what its predecessor did.

Leapmotor delivered 41,039 vehicles in April, its second highest ever, behind December 2024's 42,517, according to figures it announced on May 1.

The monthly deliveries were up 173.50 percent from 15,005 a year ago and up 10.63 percent from 37,095 in March.

So far this year, Leapmotor has delivered 128,591 vehicles, up 165.60 percent year-on-year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

The delivery figure for the C10 in April is not yet available. The model delivered 12,255 units in March, contributing 33 percent of Leapmotor's monthly deliveries, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
