Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) has announced its order intake for the just-past Labor Day holiday, showcasing strong numbers.
Between May 1 and May 5, Leapmotor received orders for more than 18,000 units, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker announced today on Weibo.
On May 5, Leapmotor received more than 3,700 orders in a single day, with the C11 SUV (sport utility vehicle) contributing 1,099 units, it said.
May 1-May 5 was the just-ended Labor Day holiday, of which May 2 is the last day of the 2025 Shanghai auto show.
Leapmotor delivered 41,039 vehicles in April, its second highest ever, behind December 2024's 42,517 units, according to the company's May 1 announcement.
The monthly deliveries were up 173.50 percent from 15,005 a year ago and up 10.63 percent from 37,095 in March.
So far this year, Leapmotor has delivered 128,591 vehicles, up 165.60 percent year-on-year, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
Leapmotor is targeting sales of 500,000 to 600,000 vehicles in 2025.
The company launched its all-electric B10 compact SUV on April 10 with a starting price of RMB 99,800 ($13,820) and deliveries began on April 19.
At the 2025 Shanghai auto show, Leapmotor showcased the B01, the electric sedan that is the second model in its B-series.
On April 30, Leapmotor began taking pre-orders for the B10, although pricing information was not released. On the same day, Leapmotor began pre-sales for the C10 SUV to update one of its main selling models.
Leapmotor currently sells the C01 sedan, C10 SUV, C11 SUV, and C16 SUV in the C-series, the B10 SUV in the B-series, and the compact EV T03.
