- Great Wall Motor is the 17th brand to have a charging service partnership with Nio.
- Nio currently has 2,665 supercharging stations in China offering 12,334 chargers and 1,688 destination charging stations offering 13,133 chargers.

Great Wall Motor (SHA: 601633) has plugged into Nio's (NYSE: NIO) charging network, marking the latest automaker to connect to one of China's largest electric vehicle (EV) charging networks.
Nio Power, the energy arm of Nio, entered into a charging service partnership with Great Wall Motor today, according to an announcement posted on the Nio App.
Nio Power's charging network is open to users of Great Wall Motor's Haval, Wey, Ora, and Tank brands, providing a charging service with broad coverage, efficient access and ease of use, according to the announcement.
Users of these four brands can find and use Nio Power's charging piles nationwide through their mobile apps and enjoy an upgraded charging experience, the announcement said.
Great Wall Motor later announced the partnership on Weibo as well. It is the 17th brand to enter into this partnership with Nio, after brands including Xiaomi EV, Arcfox, Avatr, and Chery have entered into similar partnerships.
Great Wall Motor sold 321,795 new energy vehicles (NEVs), including plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in 2024, a year-on-year growth of 22.88 percent, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
In January, the automaker sold 22,263 NEVs, down 11.05 percent year-on-year and down 47.33 percent from December, mainly due to seasonal factors including the Chinese New Year holiday.
Nio's charging network has always been open to other brands of EVs. The direct collaboration between other vehicle companies and partners with Nio helps provide a better charging experience.
The EV maker has one of the largest numbers of public charging stations among Chinese car brands, with 2,665 supercharging stations providing 12,334 charging piles and 1,688 destination charging stations providing 13,133 charging piles in China as of today.
The company's signature battery swap stations now number 3,113 in China, of which 966 are located along highways.
Between January 22 and February 5, which covered the peak travel period for the Chinese New Year holiday, Nio provided 1,065,435 charging services, with more than 80 percent of those orders serving non-Nio users, according to a Nio Power operations report earlier this month.
Users of 210 brands, including Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), and Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI), have charged their vehicles using Nio Power's charging facilities, according to the report.
