Zeekr will officially launch the five-seat Zeekr Mix on October 23, aiming to create a new mobility lifestyle for families.
Zeekr (NYSE: ZK), the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, will launch its new model, the Zeekr Mix, a week from now, hoping to offer a new solution for family mobility after the Zeekr 7X family SUV (sport utility vehicle).
The official launch of the Zeekr Mix will be on October 23, with a launch event set to begin at 7 pm Beijing time, the company announced today on Weibo.
The model's vehicles for display will be available at Zeekr showrooms starting October 18, it said.
Zeekr didn't provide more information on Weibo, but CnEVPost learnt that the Mix's launch event will take place at the Hangzhou International Expo Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
Zeekr, which is based in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, made its first preview for the Zeekr Mix at the end of March, saying at the time that the model is designed to create a new a new mobility lifestyle for families.
The Zeekr Mix draws inspiration from the Tiangong space station, referencing the station's exterior form and large interior space, it said on March 22.
Prior to the Zeekr preview, the model entered a regulatory filing catalog on March 12, showing the five-seater's length, width and height at 4,688 mm, 1,995 mm and 1,755 mm, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3,008 mm.
The Zeekr Mix is powered by a Li-ion ternary battery from a joint venture between CATL and Geely, and has a single-motor version with a maximum power of 310 kW in the filing.
On the first day of the Beijing auto show on April 25, Zeekr unveiled its SEA-M architecture, a derivative of Geely's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA).
Zeekr invested more than RMB 7 billion ($980 million) in the SEA-M Architecture to realize the combination of ultimate space, vehicle safety and quick handling, it said at the Beijing auto show.
The SEA-M architecture is Zeekr's mobility solution that supports a wide range of mobility products, from passenger vehicles such as robotaxis and MPVs (multi-purpose vehicles) to commercial vehicles for logistics.
The Zeekr Mix is the first model based on the architecture and aims to reimagine the experience of future mobility, Zeekr said in April.
Zeekr was founded in 2021 and currently sells the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, Zeekr X, and Zeekr 7X.
The Zeekr 001 shooting brake and the Zeekr 009 MPV are aimed at niche markets. The Zeekr 007 sedan and the Zeekr 7X SUV are aimed at the mainstream EV market.
The Zeekr 7X was launched on September 20 and deliveries began on September 21. Yesterday, the company said that the Zeekr 7X has accumulated more than 10,000 deliveries.
Zeekr delivered 21,333 vehicles in September, up 76.99 percent year-on-year and up 18.42 percent from September, according to the company's October 1 release.
So far this year, Zeekr has delivered 142,873 vehicles, up 80.79 percent from a year earlier.
