China's major electric vehicle (EV) makers saw strong sales during the past National Day "golden week" holiday, as the country's economic stimulus measures fueled optimism and the auto market entered its strong season.

Brands including Xiaomi EV, Leapmotor, Deepal, and Arcfox had announced their orders from October 1-7 to show the popularity of their models.

The Xiaomi SU7 received more than 6,000 locked-in orders over the National Day holiday, Lei Jun, Xiaomi's founder, chairman, and CEO, said on Weibo today.

Xiaomi EV aims to produce and deliver 20,000 vehicles in October, Lei said, repeating a target mentioned earlier this month.

Xiaomi officially launched its first EV model, the SU7, on March 28 and has seen monthly deliveries of more than 10,000 units in each of the past four months.

Xiaomi EV is expected to meet its full-year delivery target of 100,000 units ahead of schedule in November and challenge a full-year delivery target of 120,000 units, Xiaomi previously said.

Stellantis NV (NYSE: STLA)-backed Leapmotor received a locked-in order count of 17,397 units from October 1-7 with 3,576 units on October 7, according to figures shared by the company's chairman, Zhu Jiangming.

“On the last day of National Day holiday, Leapmotor's sales hit another record high,” Zhu wrote in his WeChat status.

Founded in 2015, Leapmotor is one of China's first new car-making forces, offering both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) models.

The company delivered 33,767 vehicles in September, marking the second consecutive month of more than 30,000 vehicles and the fourth consecutive record month.

(NYSE: ZK) didn't release its order intake for the "golden week" holiday, but did share the strong performance of its new model, the Zeekr 7X SUV (sport utility vehicle).

As of October 7, firm orders for the Zeekr 7X have topped 20,000 units, with deliveries expected to exceed 10,000 units in the first full delivery month, according to a statement shared with CnEVPost.

Zeekr launched the Zeekr 7X on September 20 as yet another (NASDAQ: TSLA) Model Y competitor, with deliveries beginning on September 21.

The five-seat SUV has a starting price of RMB 229,900 ($32,540), lower than the Model Y's RMB 249,900 starting price in China.

The Zeekr 7X topped 6,000 locked in orders in the first 24 hours of its launch, and delivered more than 5,000 units 10 days after deliveries began, Zeekr previously said.

Zeekr delivered a record 21,333 vehicles in September, the second month over the 20,000 mark.

Deepal, Changan Automobile's new energy vehicle (NEV) sub-brand, secured 14,465 firm orders during the holiday, it said today.

Deepal is about to launch a new SUV (sport utility vehicle) model S05, with more than 800 units of the show car already available in stores, it said.

Deepal delivered 22,709 vehicles in September, up 30.74 percent year-on-year and up 12.81 percent from August, according to data it released on October 1.

Brands under Huawei's HIMA (Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance) business received more than 28,600 firm orders for the National Day holiday, HIMA said on Weibo yesterday.

The business covers Aito, a joint brand between Huawei and Seres Group, Luxeed, created by Huawei and Chery, and Stelato, created by Huawei and BAIC BluePark.

From October 1-7, orders exceeded 7,800 units of Aito M9, 9,000 units of Aito M7, and 9,600 units of Luxeed R7, according to HIMA.

BAIC's EV brand, Arcfox, recorded orders of 5,252 units from October 1-7, including a record high of 2,172 units for the Arcfox αT5, the brand said today.
